Nilay H. Kavathia, M.D.

Nilay Kavathia is a Phoenix native who returned home to practice in the Phoenix area. He was born in Glendale and graduated from Horizon High School in Scottsdale. After completing a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and a Masters of Philosophy in Ethics from Case Western University, he earned his medical degree from the University of Arizona. Dr. Kavathia completed his internal medicine residency with honors at Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals and pursued his gastroenterology fellowship at the Banner Good Samaritan/Phoenix VAMC program.

Dr. Kavathia has a passion for treating GI and liver diseases, and is highly skilled in gastrointestinal endoscopy and colonoscopy procedures. He strives to provide up-to-date, evidenced based care. He has been selected by PHOENIX magazine as a “Top Doc” on several occasions for the skilled, compassionate, and individualized care he provides to his patients. His patients appreciate the importance he places on the patient-doctor relationship.

Personally, Nilay enjoy spending time with his wife and 2 children. He is an avid sports fan ( Go Suns and Cardinals!) and enjoys anything that will make him laugh.
