Meet Nilay H. Kavathia, M.D.

Dr. Nilay Kavathia is a Phoenix native who returned home to practice in the Phoenix area. He was born in Glendale and graduated from Horizon High School in Scottsdale. After completing a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and a Masters of Philosophy in Ethics from Case Western University, he earned his medical degree from the University of Arizona. Dr. Kavathia completed his internal medicine residency with honors at Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals and pursued his gastroenterology fellowship at the Banner Good Samaritan/Phoenix VAMC program.

Personally, Nilay enjoys spending time with his wonderful wife and two amazing children. He is an avid sports fan (Go Suns and Cardinals!) and enjoys anything that will make him laugh!

Dr. Kavathia often says and truly believes he has the “best job in the world.” Being a gastroenterologist lets him truly help patients and develop a wonderful relationship with them. He recognizes that by helping his patients with gastrointestinal issues, he is helping them live their best life and fully thrive.
